Out Back Manufacturing was founded in 1980. In 1982 we obtained our first U.S. patent while working in the automotive safety industry. Within five years our products were being used nationwide by Public Works Departments, AT&T and Pacific Telephone and Telegraph.
In 2000 our company changed focus from "Public" Safety to "Officer" Safety. Today Out Back Manufacturing specializes in the design and manufacture of state of the art Motor Officer communication equipment. Our founder, Marcus Tomes, has 15 years experience working directly with law enforcement personnel and all types of radio communication equipment.
Our products were tested by police officers in the field under real day to day conditions. This testing and the resulting feedback gave us the edge over our competition resulting in our rugged, reliable, high quality products that fit the demanding needs of law enforcement.
